Getting United Will be Our Savior

Do you agree that what is going on now is” NOT RIGHT”?

As with many contemporary discussions, public concern today largely focuses on current political developments. Habitaciones Para Latinos Assn (HPLA) Charities is dedicated to addressing service gaps left by municipal, state, federal and other charitable organizations programs. There are significant needs within our communities, many of which remain largely unrecognized. Home maintenance is a serious issue that affects basic safety and shelter. We frequently receive requests for assistance with rent and utilities, and those seeking help often live in extremely poor conditions. HPLA Charities has not recently documented these conditions, as obtaining permission to take photographs can be challenging. Common issues include insect infestations, dirt, and general filth, often linked to inadequate housekeeping skills. Numerous books explore why families may live in such unsanitary environments, and from our perspective, much of it stems from a lack of knowledge or training in maintaining a clean home. Addiction is also prevalent in the most severe cases, and the presence of animals often exacerbates the problem.

This is a very special year for the United States as it turned 250 years old as a Democratic Republic. With all the flaws a democratic republic entails the alternatives or other forms of government becomes a very slippery slope. Rather than any other system being universally better, other systems simply trade the specific dysfunctions of democracy for a different set of societal and political risk. Because all systems are imperfect the answer largely depends on what outcomes you prioritize (i.e. individual liberty, social equality, or rapid efficiency)

Evaluating Flaws: Democracy vs. Alternative: First let’s look at a Democratic Republic

  • CORE FLAWS
    • Inefficiency’s, slow decision making due to checks and balances, hyper-partisanship, and vulnerability to political manipulation or voter apathy. It can also default to majoritarian rule, which risks marginalizing minority groups without strong constitutional protections. Gridlock & polarization
  • Primary Strengths
    • It protects individual rights, institutionalizes the peaceful transfer of power, requires government accountability to the public.

Evaluating Flaws: Autocracy/Dictatorship

  • CORE FLAWS
    • It centralizes all power risking catastrophic misrule, corruption and inability to remove bad leaders peacefully. The system lacks peaceful mechanisms for leadership change, leading to instability, suppression of dissent and high potential for corruption of human rights and abuses
  • Primary Strenthgs
    • This system allows for fast, decisive action. While a highly competent autocrat might bypass legislative gridlock to act quickly, the risk of tyranny and lack of accountability make this the most restrictive system

Evaluating Flaws: Oligarchy

  • CORE FLAWS
    • Leads to extreme inequality and systematic neglect of the general population. Power rests with a small, wealthy segment of society who use their resources to shape policies that protect their interests at the expense of the working class.
  • Primary Strengths
    • Efficiency is maximized for the wealthy Elite

The verdict

Political Scientist, including those analyzing global public sentiments on PEW RESERCH CENTER, largely suggest that a democratic republic remains the preferred system for protecting fundamental human rights and civil liberties despite frustrations. TO SUCCEED WE MUCH UNITE.

As most of you will agree we are in a fight to main this democratic republic and as a result the basic physiological needs of the lowest income families are vulnerable. Non-Profits which include most charities are relying on those in the upper middle class to financially support emergency services but also carry the responsibility to ensure their neighbors don’t die or become so desperate as to become violent. Grants and financial support for these charities have to be priority one. www.hplacharties.org/donate

The league of United Latin American Citizens aka LULAC is fighting to protect the human rights of the Latino community and as a result Habitaciones Para Latinos Assn has decided to sponsor their efforts in Kansas. To that point Habitaciones Para Latinos Assn aka HPLA Charties will do all we can to ensure basic rights as well as the physiological means of the Latino Community is supported. All donations to HPLA charities will go directly to help our clients’ but much physical effort will go to promote LULAC.
